Manuel Borja started as a software developer in the late 90s and since then he’s played the roles of business analyst, software architect, technical leader and project manager in different organizations. He’s been in both the customer side and the seller side. His last job was as a software architect in a mining company and now he is one of the owners of bit2bit, start-up company which offers software engineering and training services in Perú.
Manuel is interested and has expertise in topics like service delivery, project management, business analysis, business process management, service oriented architecture, business intelligence and of course, software development. He enjoys learning ways to do things better through reading, sharing experiences with colleagues and trying, in order to improve the way to deliver value to customer organizations.
At bit2bit they use Scrum for software development projects, which is new to most of their customers, reason why it’s been and still is a challenge. They also work with virtual teams, approach which brings new demands to the management of their projects.
Manuel holds PMP, CSM, CSD, ITIL and CBAP certifications, has attended training in CMMI and Software Architecture at Software Engineering Institute. He is currently doing a MSc in Information Technology at Carnegie Mellon and Tecnológico de Monterrey.
